Erin Brigham

Erin Brigham, PhD, is executive director of the Joan and Ralph Lane Center for Catholic Social Thought and the Ignatian Tradition at the University of San Francisco, where she also serves as chief mission officer. She teaches Catholic theology and social thought, and her current research focuses on ecclesiology, public theology, and gender in Catholic social thought.

Kimberly Rae Connor

Kimberley Rae Connor, PhD, is professor of ethics in the School of Management at the University of San Francisco. She is also Lane Center’s Faculty Chair for Mission Integration. She is a student in the Pierre Favre program in Ignatian Spiritual Direction at El Retiro Jesuit Retreat Center.

Mary Johnson, SNDdeN

Mary Johnson, SNDdeN, the Lo Schiavo Chair in Catholic Social Thought at the Lane Center, is a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur and a Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Religious Studies at Trinity Washington University in Washington, D.C. At Trinity, she is also co-director of the Billiart Center for Social Justice. Previously she was on the faculty of Emmanuel College in Boston.

Kelly L’Engle

Kelly L’Engle is associate professor, PhD, MPH, and lead for the master in public health – behavioral health concentration at the University of San Francisco. She is also an Ignatian Teaching and Research Fellow at the Lane Center. She develops innovative programs and conducts research to promote positive health, especially among young people and vulnerable populations, and she has a special interest in health communication and digital health technologies.

Maribel Lopez

  • Student Clinician at Deportation Defense Clinic

Maribel Lopez is a second-year law student at the University of San Francisco School of Law. She is currently a student clinician at the school’s Deportation Defense Clinic in which she is working on an asylum case. Additionally, she is vice president of USF La Raza Law Student Association which has the mission of creating community and supporting Latinx students through law school. Previously, she worked as a supervising health worker at The Sperm Bank of California. Lopez has also continuously volunteered at La Casa de Las Madres, a nonprofit that provides shelter and refuge to survivors of domestic violence.

Francesca MacCormack

Francesca Maccormack is director of Stewardship and Donor Reporting in the Office of Development at the University of San Francisco. She has served as senior fundraising campaign manager for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and as director of programs for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lane County. She began her career in the for-purpose sector as program manager for Committed Partners for Youth, a community and school-based 1:1 mentoring organization. MacCormack holds an MBA in nonprofit management from the University of Portland and a bachelor of education in family and human services from the University of Oregon. She is part of Lane Center’s 2019–2020 People for Others program, which is dedicated to building community around Ignatian values.

Kerry Alys Robinson

  • Speaker for Lane Center’s Annual Women Shaping Catholic Social Tradition Lecture

Kerry Alys Robinson is global ambassador for Leadership Roundtable, where she previously served as executive director. From 1997 to 2007, she was the director of development for Saint Thomas More Catholic Chapel and Center at Yale University. Robinson is a member of the board of directors of the Raskob Foundation for Catholic Activities in Wilmington, Delaware, and a member of Foundations and Donors Interested in Catholic Activities (FADICA).

Kathleen Shrader

Kathleen Shrader is a registered nurse in San Francisco at a medical homeless shelter. She is studying to become a nurse practitioner at the University of San Francisco, and also works in University Ministry at USF. She’s a former Jesuit volunteer, and also worked with Jesuit Refugee Service in Malawi.

George Williams, SJ

George Williams, SJ, PhD, entered the Society of Jesus in 1987. He is the Catholic chaplain at San Quentin State Prison. He has an MSW from Boston College, a master’s degree in divinity (M.Div.) from the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry, and a doctorate in criminology from Northeastern University. His research interests are correctional staff wellness and spirituality.

Diane Woodbridge

Diane Woodbridge is an assistant professor in the master of science in data science program at the University of San Francisco. She is also an Ignatian Teaching and Research Fellow at the Lane Center. Her research interests include database management systems, data fusion and machine learning in various domains including wearable IoT, biomedical, geospatial remote sensing, and now oral history.
